Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor Joseph Connor, Jr., Esq.

Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor Joseph Connor, Jr., Esq.Joseph Connor, Jr., Esq., graduated from Bayley-Ellard High School in Madison in 1971. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history (summa cum laude) from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1975.

Connor attended Rutgers School of Law (Newark), graduating with honors in 1982. He was admitted to the bar that same year. Connor clerked for the Hon. Charles M. Egan, Jr., J.S.C., in Morris County. In 1983, Prosecutor Lee S. Trumbull, Esq., hired Mr. Connor as an assistant prosecutor.

Connor has served under Prosecutor Trumbull, Prosecutor W. Michael Murphy, Esq., Prosecutor John B. Dangler, Esq., Prosecutor Michael M. Rubbinaccio, Esq., and now under Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi, Esq.

For more than 20 years, Connor headed this Office's appellate section. He has handled more than 500 appeals before the Appellate Division and has argued more than a dozen cases before the state Supreme Court. He served for five years on the Supreme Court Model Jury Charge Committee (Criminal).
