Robert S. Lane, Esq., graduated from Levittown Memorial High
School in Levittown, New York in 1980. He earned a bachelor's degree of arts in
political science and history from Hofstra University in 1984.
Lane attended New York Law School, graduating in 1988. He was admitted to the bar in New Jersey that same year.
In 1989, Prosecutor Paul Depascale, Esq., hired Mr. Lane as an assistant prosecutor in Hudson County, where he worked for 18 years.
Lane has served under Prosecutor Depascale, Prosecutor Carmen Messano, Esq., Prosecutor Fred Themling, Esq., and Prosecutor Edward Defazio, Esq.
For the last eight years, Lane has worked as a trial court supervisor. Prior to that, he worked in both the homicide and sex crimes units. Lane has tried more than 80 jury trials, including eight homicide trials, all of which resulted in guilty verdicts.
