The Homeland Security Division of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office is comprised of the following units:
Computer Crimes Unit
It is the responsibility of the Computer Crimes Unit to investigate crimes of computer fraud as well as to provide "computer expertise" to assist other investigative agencies and municipal police departments in pursuing investigations involving computer related crimes. All high-tech criminal investigations are coordinated through the Computer Crimes Unit.
Morris County Rapid Deployment Team
The Morris County Rapid Deployment Team, along with 5 other Urban Area Security Initiative/U.A.S.I. Counties, will be an integral part of the State of New Jersey's Northeast Regional Deployment Force. The Rapid Deployment Team/Rapid Deployment Force will function as a trained group of police officers that will primarily be deployed to protect the critical infrastructure sites within counties and the region as well as to critical incidents for perimeter and traffic control with CBRNE protective equipment capabilities. The team consists of sworn law enforcement personnel from all Morris County Law Enforcement Agencies. All of the training and the deployment of this team is coordinated through the Homeland Security Division of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.
